Since 2004 researchers from diverse disciplines and countries organise research projects and conferences focusing the complex relationship between media and religion.
For Family

For Family is an interdisciplinary project on the transformations, resources and negotiations of family in the contemporary society.
International Exchange on Media and Religion
This international and interdisciplinary initiative develops projects related to the mediatisation of religion. The last project focused on the role of religion in imagining Europe as a common ground. The volume Religion in Representations of Europe. Shared and Contested Practices is published in open access. The coming project aims at scrutinizing the entanglement of crime, media and religion.
Religion, Film and Media
A website on research groups, conferences and publications in the field of media and religion. The interaction between religion, film, and media is a central subject matter in the contemporary research on religion and culture. On this platform, innovative studies with interdisciplinary relevance and projects in theology, the study of religion, film and media studies are presented.
